Job Description
Preferred Search Group is seeking a skilled and personable Dental Assistant to join our high-end, patient-focused practice in Birmingham, Alabama. The practice we are partnering with provides full-mouth, comprehensive aesthetic dentistry in a concierge-style environment—prioritizing exceptional care, precision, and an elevated patient experience over volume-based dentistry.
We are looking for a collaborative, confident, and experienced assistant to work chairside. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional who enjoys complex dentistry, thrives in a team setting, and takes pride in delivering top-tier care.
Position Details:
- Schedule: Monday–Thursday
- 7:15 AM - 5:00 PM
- Lunch: 1:00–2:00 PM
- One Friday per quarter (8:00 AM–1:00 PM)
What You’ll Do:
- Assist one doctor alongside one other dental assistant, sharing responsibilities equally
- Support full-mouth restorative and aesthetic procedures
- Work closely with the other assistant in a highly coordinated, team-based approach
- Assist with surgical procedures, including implants
- Participate in morning sedation cases (approximately 5 hours)

Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of dental assisting experience
- Comfortable with surgical dentistry (implants experience preferred)
- Background in private practice preferred
- Strong communication skills with a confident, engaging personality
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment
- Experience with dental software (Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or similar). Familiarity with Oryx is a plus but not required.

- Monthly bonus program: $100–$300
- Quarterly bonus: $500–$800 based on performance
