Job Description
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Chairside Assisting: Supporting the dentist during examinations, fillings, crowns, and oral surgeries by passing instruments and using suction.
- Patient Care: Greeting patients, escorting them to chairs, updating medical histories, managing anxiety, and providing oral hygiene instructions.
- Sterilization and Safety: Cleaning and sterilizing instruments, disinfecting treatment rooms according to OSHA regulations, and preparing necessary materials.
- Radiography and Lab Work: Exposing, developing, and mounting dental X-rays (requires certification in many states) and taking dental impressions.
- Administrative Tasks: Scheduling appointments, answering phones, managing patient records, and ordering supplies.
Job Requirements and Qualifications:
- Education: HS.
- Certifications:BLS/CPR certification is typically required.
- No experience required, Training will be provided.
- Skills: Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a professional, caring demeanor.
