Job Description
We're Growing! Join Our Team
We're looking for an upbeat, professional, and reliable Dental Assistant to join our multi-specialty office in Alpharetta, GA, where we care for patients of all ages. The ideal candidate is certified, passionate about patient care, and eager to grow in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures.
- Explain office procedures to patients prior to treatment.
- Provide quality and compassionate care before, during, and after dental procedures.
- Manage patient comfort and safety during treatments.
- Accurately chart pre-existing conditions and input patient progress notes.
- Deliver post-op instructions following surgery or restorative procedures.
- Take impressions for study models.
- Prepare and maintain dental instruments, supplies, and equipment.
- Take and develop x-rays; collect and record patient health histories.
- Serve as infection control officer: develop protocols and sterilize instruments/equipment.
- Monitor and report operatory equipment and handpiece repairs; maintain repair logs.
- Complete daily/weekly/monthly tasks (e.g., autoclave testing, trap cleaning).
- Assist with monthly supply orders.
- Support recall and treatment plan reports when requested.
- Adhere to all government and company regulations.
- Provide direct patient care across specialties including orthodontics, pediatric dentistry, and oral surgery.
Qualifications
- Experience in customer service and strong computer skills.
- Upbeat attitude and outgoing personality - a must!
- Ability to multitask effectively.
- Team player and people person.
Requirements
- Dental Assistant certification.
- Excellent chairside manner.
- Adaptability to different techniques and patient needs.
- Ability to work under pressure and a drive to grow professionally.
- Commitment to following policies and procedures.
- Bilingual Spanish candidates are a plus!
- Salary based on experience.
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM
