- Location: Ossining, NY
- Employment Type: Full-time
- Hourly Rate: $50 – $60 per hour

- This is a full-time position
- Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- Days: 5 days per week
- Overtime: Not required
- Holiday Work: As required by facility operations

- Education: Graduate from an accredited Dental Hygiene program.
- Required: Current license and registration to practice Dental Hygiene in New York State.
- Preferred: Prior experience in institutional, public health, or correctional settings.
- Other Requirements: Successful completion of a security background check.
- Skills:
- Strong clinical dental hygiene skills.
- Knowledge of infection control and sterilization procedures.
- Ability to work effectively in a secure environment.
- Professional communication and documentation skills.
- Attention to detail and adherence to protocols.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
- Job responsibilities:
- Perform dental prophylaxis, scaling, and root planning as appropriate.
- Conduct oral health assessments and document findings.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene and preventive care.
- Assist dentists during examinations and procedures when required.
- Maintain accurate clinical records in accordance with facility policies.
- Ensure infection control standards and sterilization protocols are followed.
- Comply with all Department of Corrections and facility security procedures.
- Maintain professional conduct in a correctional environment.
- Physical Examination Responsibilities:
- Perform intraoral examinations and periodontal charting.
- Take and review dental radiographs as permitted.
- Identify oral health issues requiring dentist evaluation.
- Monitor patient response to hygiene treatments.
- Medical Oversight Responsibilities:
- Work under the supervision of licensed dental professionals.
- Adhere to the New York State dental hygiene scope of practice.
- Report clinical concerns and abnormal findings promptly.
- Support continuity of care within the dental services program.
