Dental Hygienist

Mountain Community Health Partnership (MCHP) is seeking a skilled and dedicated Dental Hygienist to join our team and help promote oral health through preventive care, education, and clinical services. As a Dental Hygienist, you will provide direct patient care under the supervision of a licensed dentist, perform dental hygiene procedures, and support community dental health education initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct patient assessments including medical history, dental charting, and periodontal evaluations.
• Perform oral health evaluations and identify signs of periodontal disease or oral cancers.
• Take and process dental radiographs.
• Carry out hygiene procedures such as prophylaxis, scaling, root planning, fluoride treatments, and sealant applications.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques, nutrition, and preventive care.
• Assist in emergency situations during patient treatment.
• Participate in community dental health clinics and outreach programs.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with infection control. HIPAA, and safety protocols.

Qualifications:

• Education: Completion of an accredited dental hygiene program. Current Registered Dental Hygienist license in the state of NC. CPR and radiation safety certification.
• Experience: 5+ years of dental hygiene experience or 4000 hours of prophylaxis/debridement under dentist supervision preferred.
