Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talentedDeputy Program Manager (DPM) to join our team! In this role you will get to support the Program Manager in the direction and management of small to medium-sized projects within a larger Army program, ensuring successful transitions, compliance, and on-schedule completion.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Assisting the Program Manager in planning, directing, supervising, and controlling the execution of all business, technical, fiscal, and administrative functions of assigned projects.
  • Leading transition activities, including hiring, CRC processing, and OCONUS deployment for Army programs.
  • Developing and managing the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) to meet critical milestones and timelines.
  • Coordinating with Army stakeholders to ensure all transition and deployment requirements are met.
  • Supporting the establishment of Project Execution Plans, Health and Safety Plans, and Quality Assurance/Quality Control Plans.
  • Monitoring and reporting on transition progress, identifying and resolving issues as needed.
  • Providing input on performance reviews and development plans for team members.
  • Promoting technical and commercial excellence through application of quality assurance processes.
  • Supporting the management of project budgets, schedules, and deliverables.
  • Representing the company with clients and subcontractors as delegated by the Program Manager.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • Active Secret security clearance or higher
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related technical field
  • 10+ years of related work experience and a broad general technical and business background
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience supporting Army programs that require hiring, CRC, and deploying for at least one (1) year OCONUS
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience managing Army programs or contracts
  • Experience developing and managing an Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) to meet critical milestones and timelines
  • Level III DAWIA Certification in Program Management or PMP Certification
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate and manage transition activities for Army programs
  • Strong organizational and schedule management skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to meet Parsons’ project management certification requirements

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

  • Professional registration (e.g., PMP) is preferred
  • Experience with Army regulations and DoD contracting environments
  • Experience leading teams in OCONUS environments
  • Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies
  • Strong problem-solving and risk management abilities
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders
  • Experience supporting the development and implementation of project execution, health and safety, and quality assurance plans
