Qualifying Questions:

Summary: 

• Reviews supplier technical data to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements.

• Works with customers and suppliers to develop and document complex electronic and electrical system requirements.

• Documents processes, specifications, and procedures that support the design, qualification, certification, and manufacturing of electrical components.

• Provides technical support and troubleshooting to airlines and modification sites.

• Collaborates with multi-disciplinary engineering teams in an agile environment.

• Performs technical review of supplier capabilities to facilitate source selection.

• Solves problems concerning fielded hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle.

• Researches technology advances for potential application to company business needs.

• Applies knowledge of verification, validation, certification, and qualification processes including DO-160, DO-178, DO-254, and D6 requirements.

Requirements:

• Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Aeronautical), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or non-US equivalent directly related to the work statement.

• 5+ years of related work experience in electrical design and integration.

• Knowledge of verification, validation, certification, and qualification processes including DO-160, DO-178, DO-254, and D6 requirements.

• Experience documenting, testing, and troubleshooting the qualification and certification of electronic and electrical components and line replaceable units.

• Familiarity with FAA and EASA certification regulations and requirements.

• Ability to read, understand, and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.

• Demonstrates systems thinking to understand inter-relationships between components and systems.

• Preferred: Analytical skills to collect, organize, synthesize, and analyze data, and engineering judgment to ensure product design integrity.
