Overview
Job Description
- Serve as first point of contact for new and existing clients.
- Open and close studio each day, answer phones and email.
- Package outgoing shipments, receive and inspect incoming project materials (fabric, trim, hardware, shades).
- Calendar management: Schedule discovery calls, client meetings and installations.
- Responsible for multiple phases of project lifecycle.
- Document all activity in project management system.
- Prepare, manage and maintain client and project assets (physical and digital).
- Communicate with vendors regarding orders, timelines, payments and deliveries.
- Assist with project quoting, gather pricing for materials and utilize online vendor systems.
- Provide weekly / bi-weekly client updates for all active projects.
- Stage products, communicate with installers, prepare for and attend installations as needed.
- Order project materials: fabric, trim, blinds, shades, drapery hardware, etc.
- Create fabrication work orders for production of custom window treatments.
- Process client payments, pay bills and document business expenses.
- Order office supplies and workroom materials, pick up from local stores as needed.
- Deal with problems, know when to escalate to owner.
- Ability to use discretion and bring innovative solutions to help the business thrive.
- Proven ability to self-manage and demonstrate a high level of professional maturity.
- Organized and can manage multiple priorities; proven success with project management.
- Driver of projects: takes initiative, proactively anticipates needs, intuitive ability for sound judgment.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Accuracy and detailed mindfulness in all areas of responsibility.
- Ability to plan, manage time and maintain organization in fast-paced circumstances.
- Flexible and willing to do whatever is needed as part of the team.
- Experience with custom window treatments, fabrics, trims, and drapery hardware highly desired.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and climb a ladder.
