Job Description

Are you ready to heat things up in the HVAC industry? gpac, a 30+ years recruitment company, is partnered with a well-established company in the Mechanical Construction industry, and we are seeking a talented individual to join our team as a Design-Build HVAC Project Manager / Estimator.

This is an amazing opportunity for candidates who are passionate HVAC = Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) and want to take their career to the next level.

Position Responsibilities:

- Design / Pre-Construction – develop efficient, code-compliant HVAC solutions for commercial and light-industrial facilities.

- Estimating / Business Development – prepare competitive, self-performed design-build proposals, present to owners & GCs, and close profitable work.

- Project & Field Leadership – oversee union sheet-metal, pipefitter, plumbing, and service crews to deliver projects safely, on budget, and to Kraft’s quality standards.

Position Essential Job Functions:

- Load calculation software familiarity (e.g., Trane TRACE 3D), AutoCAD/Revit, Bluebeam, Microsoft Excel.

- Familiarity with Pipefitters 455/539, Plumbers 15/34, Sheet Metal 10 work rules and crew composites.

- Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record.

- Valid HVAC license or certifications.

- Effectively managing teams, build strong relationships, and navigate risks.

Requirements:

- AS/BS in Mechanical Engineering or Construction Management – or equivalent field experience.

- MN PE license preferred; LEED AP or CPD a plus.

- 7 + years in commercial HVAC design-build or large-scale install; minimum 2 years in an estimating or PM leadership role.
