Job Description
Design/Build Project Manager A leading process engineering firm with a long history of executing customized design/build projects is seeking a Project Manager with a strong background in process development, design, and construction. The successful candidate will have the knowledge and experience to work closely with the in-house engineering and construction teams to support the design and construction of complex process-facility projects. Projects include new design and construction of manufacturing plants and facilities, and rehabilitation of existing plants/facilities, with a focus on high-hazard and cleanroom environments. The Project Manager will maintain ownership of the overall project scope, schedule, and budget. This is a great opportunity to work closely with a talented, high caliber team of professionals. Job tasks involved:
- Responsible for the profitable operation of multiple large and small projects concurrently.
- Responsible for annual gross revenue of $10M+.
- Develops and nurtures key client relationships and is the primary company contact on the project.
- Has full managerial responsibility for all aspects of the project through construction including overall project budget, negotiating extras, cost control, coordinating with engineering team for obtaining project deliverables, overall project schedule, project turnover package, quality control and cash management.
- Estimates fees, determines scope of work, and prepares proposals and contracts on projects.
- Actively manages project budget, schedule and program (scope).
- Responsible for project controls including coordinating meetings, project communications, and documentation.
- Responsible for managing and delivering quality projects on-time, within budget and to the satisfaction of the client.
- Facilitates work planning activity, profitability analysis, and coordinates with leadership to achieve profitability targets. Required:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in an AEC environment
- Previous experience working directly with contractors and engineers in a design build environment
- Experience and background in chemical process projects highly desirable.
- Strategic thinker, with demonstrated collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment and gain the support of others.
- Ability to work in a matrix organization with minimal direction
- Familiarity with icrosft products and Procore is highly desirable
- Minimal Travel Required A Bachelors Degree in Engineering is a plus, but not required.
