Job Description

Payrate: $53.00- $54.00/hr.Position Contributions to Work Group:

Design foundry tooling using Creo software, following established standards and best practices for the no-bake molding process
Focus on improving tooling quality and reducing lead time for tooling construction
Surrounding Team & Key Projects
Work closely with foundry tooling, manufacturing, and engineering teams
Support tooling design, casting improvements, and process optimization initiatives
Contributes to projects focused on enhancing casting quality and production efficiency
Purpose of This Team
The team is responsible for designing and developing foundry tooling, optimizing casting processes, and ensuring high-quality, efficient production within the foundry environment.

Typical Task Breakdown:

Prepare RFQs for tooling
Design new pattern tooling
Troubleshoot and resolve casting issues
Perform re-gating and simulation analysis
Support additional tooling and process-related tasks as needed

Education & Experience:

5+ years of relevant experience
Associate or bachelor’s degree required
Internships are not considered as experience

Top 3 Skills:

Foundry engineering experience (tool quotation, casting defect analysis, process knowledge including no-bake and cold box processes)
Foundry tooling design experience (pattern/core box design, complex modeling, parting lines, offsets, clearances, tool layout)
Creo modeling and casting simulation using Solid Cast

Technical Skills:

Strong CAD skills (Creo preferred)
Ability to read machining prints and understand geometric tolerances
Casting simulation experience (Solid Cast preferred)
CNC milling knowledge

Soft Skills:

Ability to work with and guide suppliers on tooling build projects
Strong communication skills across all levels of the organization

Pay Transparency: The typical base pay for this role across the U.S. is: $53.00- $54.00/hour. Non-exempt positions are eligible for overtime at a rate of 1.5 times the base hourly rate for all hours worked in excess of 40 in a work week, or as required by state or local law. Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education and experience. Full-time employees are eligible to select from different benefits packages.
