Design Engineer

This role is remote and open to candidates in every U.S. state, except Hawaii and Alaska.

What you will be doing:

• Ship world-class products as part of the AI growth team, building for developers and editors who care deeply about quality, performance, and finish.

• Shape an evolving design culture within a team of high craft Product Designers.

• Partner with your Product and Engineering counterparts to design agentic AI products across Sanity’s flagship offerings.

• Designing and building growth experiments.

• Find inspiration at the intersection of experience, infrastructure, and organizational needs.

• Create, and iterate on flows, prototypes, and high-fidelity visuals.

• Establish guidelines, systems and patterns.

• Set the industry bar for what good looks like.

About you:

• Remote USA

• Strong frontend engineering skills (React, Javascript)

• Understanding of developer needs and ability to grasp Sanity’s core products and customer (CLI, Sanity MCP Server, Content Lake, etc)

• An eye for UI design and strong visual craft

• Experience contributing to or maintaining design systems, including component creation
