Job Description

JOB TITLE: Design EngineerLOCATION: Cape Canaveral, FLPAY RATE: $55-63/hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Job Details:

Job Type: Contract (Up to 11 months with potential for extension)
Clearance: Ability to obtain required clearances

Qualifying Questions:

Do you meet the educational and experience requirements for this role?
Can you commute to the job location or relocate if necessary?

Summary:

Develop and revise parts, assemblies, and installation engineering using CREO (or similar 3D CAD: NX, SolidWorks).
Create new parts, drawings, BOMs, assemblies, simplified reps, and shrinkwraps.
Support team members with design knowledge and technical guidance.
Complete layout and production drawings per ASME Y14.5 standards.
Implement design modifications to improve product quality or facilitate manufacturing operations.

Requirements:

Ability to obtain required clearances.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field).
Professional experience with 3D CAD systems (Creo, NX, SolidWorks).
Experience in machine tool design or tool modification.
Strong knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
