Job Description
Pay Rate: $62.63 per hourLocation: Greenville, SCDuration: 9 MonthsSummary:
- Collaborate with Global Supply Chain and cross-functional teams to improve processes and address hardware non-conformances while ensuring customer quality.
- Support design for producibility, lean flow, and concurrent engineering.
- Assist in hardware qualifications for new processes, changes, and equipment.
- Engage in defect reduction and process improvements through proactive quality measures.
- Contribute to technology development and qualification of special processes such as castings and coatings.
- Foster teamwork, positive work environment, and urgency in quality and speed.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited university or college.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
- Experience in gas turbine engineering, specifically hot section components.
- Manufacturing experience with a focus on lean methods and statistical process control.
- Knowledge of HGP components, including NX, GD&T, and ANSYS Classic.
- Ability to build trust with team members and interfacing organizations.
- Experience with advanced manufacturing processes.
- Strong customer satisfaction mindset with a focus on quality.
- Excellent teamwork, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to challenge the status quo and deliver the best company products.
- Relevant mechanical engineering experience designing gas turbine hardware or similar rotating machinery.
- Basic understanding of manufacturing processes, methods, materials, and coatings.
- Experience in non-conformance dispositioning of deviating hardware.
- Familiarity with analytical tools such as Ansys and NX.
- Understanding of GD&T and ability to interpret engineering drawings and bills of materials.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate in a cross-functional global organization.
- Humble, open-minded, self-motivated, and a continuous learner.
- Ability to rapidly shift day-to-day priorities based on emerging business needs.
