Job Description

Sales/Design/Account Manager JG Custom Cabinetry & Design – Fox Cities, WI Company Overview: JG Custom Cabinetry & Design is a growing cabinetry company with 21 years in business, known for high-quality work, strong customer relationships, and professional execution. Nearly three years ago, we expanded into the Fox Cities to support continued growth, and we are now in an intentional growth phase—strengthening systems, structure, and leadership. We offer a wide range of cabinetry solutions, including semi-custom product lines across multiple price points as well as fully custom cabinetry manufactured in-house. This gives our team exceptional flexibility and creative freedom when designing and selling solutions for clients. We are actively investing in marketing, systems, and long-term sustainability—and we are looking for the right person, not just a résumé. Position Overview: We are seeking a Sales & Design Account Manager who can confidently manage the entire client experience—from first contact through project completion. This role combines sales, design, and account management into one integrated function. It is designed for someone who understands that design supports sales, and sales success depends on speed, clarity, and leadership with clients. This is not an order-taking role and not a passive showroom position. Primary Responsibilities: Manage new leads from first contact through completed project. Meet clients in their homes and in our showroom. Create cabinetry designs and layouts that support effective selling. Present pricing, options, and product differences clearly and confidently. Drive projects forward with urgency and structure. Manage multiple active projects simultaneously. Provide proactive communication and strong account leadership. Deliver a consistently high-quality customer experience. Follow established sales systems while operating independently. Coordinate internal handoffs once projects are won. What This Role Is Not: Not an order-taker. Not a back-office designer only. Not a showroom-only role. Not cold calling. Not micromanaged. Required Experience & Qualifications: 3–5+ years of experience in cabinetry sales, kitchen & bath design, or residential interior sales. Proven ability to meet clients in person, including in their homes. Demonstrated sales experience (not just quoting or drafting). Strong understanding of cabinetry layouts, appliances, spacing, and functionality. Proficiency in at least one design software platform (2020 preferred). Ability to manage multiple projects at once without losing momentum. Comfortable working within structured systems while remaining self-directed. Strong communication, organization, and follow-through skills. Professional, easy to work with, and team-oriented. What We’re Looking For: We are looking for someone who: Is sales-capable and sales-minded. Designs with intent, not just aesthetics. Moves quickly and values execution. Takes ownership of outcomes. Communicates clearly and confidently with clients. Understands that velocity matters. Can provide real examples of excellent customer experiences they’ve delivered. Compensation & Benefits: Hourly position, compensation based on experience and demonstrated ability. Pay is competitive to above-market for the right candidate. Full benefits package including: Health insurance. Paid time off and holidays. Retirement benefits. Expense reimbursement. Flexible, professional team culture. Work Environment: In-office time in our showroom is required. Regular client home visits are required. Fast-paced, growth-oriented environment. Stable company with long-term vision. Opportunity for advancement as the company grows. Why This Role Is Different: This role is ideal for someone who wants: Real ownership of their work. A company that values speed and professionalism. A role that is structured but not micromanaged. A growing organization with clear direction. How to Apply: Qualified candidates should submit a résumé and be prepared to discuss: Prior sales experience. Design software proficiency. Projects managed from start to finish. How they deliver strong customer experiences.
