Job Description
Join our team in Mounds View, MN, where innovation meets opportunity. We are looking for a skilled professional to contribute to our dynamic work environment. Must Have
- 3D Printing Experience
- Tooling Experience
- Design components or portions of systems and modify existing designs to develop or improve products and facilitate manufacturing and field service operations.
- Utilize computer-aided design equipment and/or graphic tools, such as CAD, CAM, CATIA, ProEngineer, Solidworx, or Siemens NX Software.
- Gather information, conduct studies, compute calculations, and prepare original rough layouts and sketches to present design proposals.
- Coordinate design criteria with engineering, manufacturing, tooling, material, and planning groups to ensure ease of manufacture, availability of materials, and adherence to contractual specifications.
- Use schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, or defined plans to perform testing and troubleshooting on electronic or mechanical components, equipment, or systems.
- Gather, maintain, format, compile, and manipulate technical data using established formulae and procedures, and perform detailed mathematical calculations.
- For higher levels, may suggest and/or make improvements to optimize work processes.
- Autonomy: Train, delegate, and review the work of lower-level employees and may be responsible for leading daily operations of a work team. Run projects, including performing complex tests, interpreting data, developing key reports, and providing updates to the broader team.
- Organizational Impact: Perform technical activities more complex in nature with a larger impact. Work consists of technical tasks that are complex and complicated.
- Innovation and Complexity: Technical problems faced are general and may require understanding of broader sets of issues and other job areas but typically are not complex. May be responsible for working with a supervisor to identify potential adjustments or enhancements in systems and processes to solve problems or improve effectiveness of the job area.
- Communication and Influence: Communicate typically with internal contacts. Obtain and provide technical information on matters of significant importance to the job areas or project.
- Leadership and Talent Management: May act as a team lead and assistant to the supervisor/manager. May delegate tasks to other team members and be responsible for the review of work product. Does not have formal management responsibilities, but may provide input to management in this area.
- Requires a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
- Requires a high school diploma or equivalent (United States), vocational or technical education, or certification (all other countries).
