Job Description
Designer | Entry Level Electrical Engineer Pay Rate:
- $26/hr
- The Designer will draft and design complex projects ensuring they are safe, cost effective and reliable distribution power facilities for residential, commercial and industrial sites.
- Prepare project and job packages that include material lists, requisitions, labor estimates, site drawings and construction drawings for various installations of electrical facilities in a cost-effective manner that maximizes safety and service reliability.*
- Read and interpret blueprints, maps, change orders, improvement plans, construction specifications, procedure manuals, operational procedures, etc. *
- Perform drafting work and assist in the preparation of designs, plans and reports. *
- Make accurate engineering calculations. *
- Learn, practice, and promote ALL safety policies and procedures 100% of the time. *
- Apply various codes, requirements, regulations, policies, and procedures to all assigned work. *
- Use various design software and work management tools. *
- Evaluate distribution equipment such as transformers and fusing. *
- Follow utility construction practices on public right of way (ROW) and private land. *
- Regularly communicate job status to assure client expectations and deliverable dates are met. *
- Coordinate with construction personnel and clients to resolve any project issues. *
- Develop relationships with key internal and external customers while supporting both company and clients business goals and expectations while representing themselves both positively and professionally. *
- Maintain files and records in an organized manner.
- BS or MS degree in Electrical Engineer*
- Interest in a career in the Utility industry
