Job Description

Title: Designer / Surveyor – Electric DistributionLocation: Dover (Central Delaware, 30–45 minute travel radius)Hire Type: ContractSalary: $35–$36/hrBenefits: Medical, dental, vision

Sterling Engineering is looking for a Designer / Surveyor to support electric distribution projects through a mix of field survey work and remote design responsibilities.

Job Duties:

Conduct site visits to overhead electric distribution lines and pole locations.
Perform field data collection and documentation.
Develop and update electric distribution design packages.
Complete data entry, design updates, and project documentation from a home office.
Travel locally to field sites using a personal vehicle.

Qualifications:

High school diploma required; technical certifications are a plus.
Experience with field data collection or utility distribution design preferred.
Basic experience with ArcGIS or similar GIS platforms.
Proficiency with computers and standard software for documentation and data entry.
Ability to learn internal utility design software.
Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle required.
Ability to work 50% in the field and 50% remotely.
