OVERVIEW

The Desktop Engineering Co-Op will work with the Desktop Engineering team to analyze and interpret machine performance data for consumption by the team to help diagnose and resolve systemic issues.  The candidate will also be responsible to generating reports with analysis to be provided to upper management in IT and the business. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES FOR THIS POSITION

The Desktop Engineering intern collaborates with the Desktop Engineering team and director, to analyze machine performance data, research and recommend courses of action, and when applicable perform hands on testing.

  • The position has primary responsibility to examine, analyze and form into a narrative machine performance data with the end goal of identifying systemic issues.
  • Collaborate with other Desktop Engineering team members to understand the impact of data analyzed and help develop solutions to help maintain stability of the endpoint environment.
  • Perform hands on testing with representative hardware to ensure fixes are compatible and stable.
  • Creating reports - with prompts, filters, grouping, and sorting based on given visualization requirements.
  • Creates ad hoc analysis reports as needed.

GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • Knowledge of PowerPoint and Excel, and ability to work independently to analyze and interpret machine performance data.
  • Some experience with Power BI or knowledge of data reporting platforms preferred.
  • Experience and knowledge of the Windows operating system running on standard Intel based hardware a plus.
  • A can-do attitude and willingness to be flexible in daily tasks and deliverables.
