Job Description
- Lead large‑scale public cloud migration programs, proactively identifying risks, resolving blockers, and ensuring successful execution across multiple initiatives.
- Partner closely with product, engineering, and architecture teams to deliver reliable, scalable, and user‑centric cloud solutions.
- Own end‑to‑end platform issues, driving rapid resolution for challenges related to cloud infrastructure, performance, and application build quality on AWS.
- Define cloud onboarding strategies, standards, and best practices to help teams adopt public cloud platforms securely and in alignment with compliance and regulatory requirements.
- Drive adoption of core AWS services including EC2, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, CloudFront, EFS, CloudWatch, EKS, ECS, API Gateway, VPC Peering, and related offerings.
- Architect resilient, secure, and high‑performance cloud platforms following organizational and industry best practices.
- Continuously measure and optimize system performance, anticipate customer needs, and deliver ongoing improvements through automation and innovation.
- Provide operational support for cloud platforms, troubleshoot complex issues, and automate manual processes to increase reliability and efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders to design practical technical solutions and improve user experience across the platform.
- Optimize cloud costs by designing efficient architectures and driving cost‑management strategies.
- Plan and lead game days, resiliency tests, and chaos engineering exercises to validate system reliability.
- Apply expertise in programming languages (Java, Python, SQL, Node.js, Go, Scala), relational and NoSQL databases, container platforms (Docker, Kubernetes), and a broad range of AWS services to build scalable solutions.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years of hands‑on software engineering or cloud engineering experience, with formal training in core engineering concepts.
- Strong understanding of business and technology drivers, including their impact on architecture, performance, monitoring, and operational excellence.
- Experience designing and implementing cloud environments on AWS using services such as EC2, ELB, RDS, DynamoDB, EKS, ECS, SQS/SNS, S3, and Route 53.
- Proficiency in modern development and cloud technologies including Java (8+), Spring Boot, RESTful microservices, AWS or Cloud Foundry, and Kubernetes.
- Experience with DevOps and CI/CD tooling such as Docker, Jenkins, GitHub, Maven, SonarQube, Artifactory, Ansible, and Kubernetes.
- Experience using monitoring and observability tools such as CloudWatch, Prometheus, Datadog, Splunk, or Dynatrace.
- Hands‑on experience building Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar tools.
- Experience with one or more public cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
- Experience building high‑volume, mission‑critical systems and event‑driven or messaging‑based architectures.
- Understanding of financial industry technologies and experience with optimizing public cloud cost and usage.
