Job Description

We have an immediate need for a DevOps Engineer to support TO-005, Report Authoring and Dissemination (RAD). Efforts will focus on DevOps engineering of a modernization effort to converge NSA’s authoring, dissemination, and other supporting tools. Candidates will be required to work a rotating pager schedule for emergency 24/7 call-in support as required (roughly one week out of every 4-6 weeks). Staff may charge 4 additional hours for the week they are on call in addition to hours worked. Up to one day per week of work from home.Responsibilities will include:

Deploying applications
Installing and configuring complex software
Managing network servers and technology tools
Monitoring and maintaining the system for required levels of performance
Troubleshooting issues and outages

Candidates should have the following qualifications: 

TS/SCI Clearance with polygraph
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university. Four (4) years of SWE experience may be substituted for a Bachelor’s degree

Candidates are required to have the following skills:

Shall have familiarity with software development/engineering such as requirements analysis, software development, installation, integration, evaluation, enhancement, maintenance, testing, or problem diagnosis/resolution
Shall have familiarity with developing software with high level languages such as Java, C, C++, JavaScript.
Shall have familiarity with developing software for Microsoft Windows or UNIX/Linux/Centos family of operating systems
Shall have familiarity with software integration and software testing
Shall understand technical writing and have familiarity with technical documents in support of a software development project

Required technical skills include experience with:

Linux
AWS, MASH, and VMs
Docker Swarm
Deployments of distributed web applications (e.g. GitLab CI/CD)
Terraform scripting and VM provisioning
Ansible scripting and development
Thorough understanding of Docker & Docker Compose container technology
Git

Candidates are desired to have the following skills:

Python Scripting and development
NiFi maintenance and configuration
Elasticsearch maintenance and configuration
Java / Spring Boot (troubleshooting error logs)
HAProxy
MongoDB
