Job Description
The DevOps Engineer will collaborate with a team of cloud engineers to build and maintain a DevOps platform that supports development teams. This hands-on technical role is focused on enhancing company CI/CD standards and developing shared cloud solutions. Key Responsibilities:
- Build, develop, and operate an efficient Jenkins environment.
- Define, customize, and improve the Jenkins offering through code and infrastructure scans.
- Enhance Jenkins for scalability and performance.
- Mature existing pipelines and assist with development of shared cloud-based solutions using AWS and Kubernetes.
- Create high-quality code in Python or Node.js to build shared solutions.
- Assist technology teams in transitioning to cloud and enterprise pipeline solutions.
- Promote a consultative approach to foster a DevOps mindset within the IT team.
- Operational experience with one or more CI/CD tools Jenkins and Octopus Deploy.
- 3+ years of experience managing, maintaining, and scaling a DevOps environment using Jenkins for numerous deployments.
- Experience with configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
- Experience automating infrastructure deployment.
- Hands-on knowledge with AWS services, including EC2, S3, IAM, RDS, Python, and Aurora.
- Experience with Software-Defined Networks, Software-Defined Data Centers, and Virtual Private Clouds.
- Experience with DevOps and GitOps.
- Familiarity with multiple cloud platforms (GCP or Azure) is a plus.
- Proactive, enthusiastic, and ambitious.
- Strong team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
