Job Description

Resolution Think is seeking a skilled and compassionate Diagnostic Radiology Physician to deliver exceptional patient care services at Mike O’Callaghan Military Medical Center (MOMMC), Nellis Air Force Base, Nevada. This role is essential to supporting the military healthcare mission by providing timely, high-quality, and patient-focused radiological care in a dynamic clinical environment.

The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical expertise, sound medical judgment, and the ability to effectively manage emergent and complex cases. Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills are also critical to success in this position.

  • Work Schedule: Work weeks fall from Sunday – Saturday between the hours of 0700 and 2000. Scheduled Per Diem 4-, 8-, 10-, or 12-hours shift.
  • On-Call Hours: NTE 700hrs annually. Physician will be required to report in-person to the MTF within 30 minutes during on-call hours, as needed.  
  • Overage Hours: Overage hours are only available for continuity of care requirements, emergencies, or when required to return to the facility during an on-call shift. Overage hours shall NTE 150hrs annually. 

Essential Functions and Job Responsibilities

Experience: In addition to above certifications the candidate must meet the following conditions:

  • At least 10 years or greater as a diagnostic radiologist.
  • Actively practicing for 2 out of the last 3 years with interpretations performed under the following modalities:
    • MRI
    • Mammography
    • CT
    • Xray
    • US
    • Fluoroscopy
    • Nuclear Medicine
    • DEXA
  • Perform a full range of physician services in accordance with privileges granted by the MTF.  
  • Clinically guide, perform, or assist in the instruction of other health care professionals within the scope of the clinical privileges or responsibilities.  
  • Examine, diagnose, treat or prescribe courses of treatment within the scope of training, experience, and privileges.  
  • Provide preventive and health maintenance care, including annual physicals, positive health behaviors, and self-care skills through education and counseling.  
  • Order diagnostic tests as applicable as well as request consultation or referral with appropriate physicians, clinics, or other health resources as indicated.  
  • Technically proficient in clinically directing and teaching other medical staff, providing educational lectures and participating in the provision of in-service training to clinic staff members. Such clinical direction and interaction will adhere to Government and professional clinical standards and accepted clinical protocols.

Minimum Requirements

  • Degree: Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.).  
  • Education: Graduation from a medical school in the United States, Canada, or approved by the Liaison Committee on Medical Education of the American Medical Association (AMA), graduation from a college of osteopathy approved by the American Osteopathic Association (AOA), or graduation from a medical school with evidence of Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) certification.
  • Internship/Residency/Fellowship: Completion of an accredited residency approved by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME).
  • Certifications:
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) using American Heart Association or American Red Cross guidelines. Members must present proof of current certification(s) through American Heart Association or American Red Cross. Computer-based training does not constitute fulfilling the training requirements.
  • Board Certification: Board certified by the American Board of Radiology. NOT board eligible. Mammography Quality and Standards Act (MQSA) Certified.
  • Licensure: Must have a permanent, full, and unrestricted Medical License to practice medicine in the state of Nevada.
