Die Maintenance Helper (Welding Required)
Location: Reno, NVSchedule: Monday–FridayPay: $22/hourJob Type: Full-Time | Temp-to-Hire
Position Summary
We are seeking a Die Maintenance Helper with welding experience to support operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This is a hands-on role where you’ll assist with tooling, equipment maintenance, and basic fabrication while building strong foundational skills in industrial maintenance and production.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with loading and unloading dies from heating furnaces
- Support tooling setups and maintenance activities
- Perform basic welding and fabrication tasks as needed
- Operate equipment such as forklifts, overhead cranes, and manipulators (with training)
- Use hand and power tools including grinders, impact wrenches, and cutting tools
- Clean, maintain, and protect dies to prevent damage or corrosion
- Assist with minor repairs including air and gas hose maintenance
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
- Follow all safety procedures and work instructions
- Work closely with supervisors and team members to meet production goals
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Welding experience required (MIG/TIG/Stick – basic to intermediate)
- Experience in manufacturing, metals, or industrial environments preferred
- Ability to follow instructions and work in a team environment
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail
Preferred Skills
- Basic understanding of blueprints and measurements
- Experience with metal fabrication or mechanical systems
- Forklift or crane experience is a plus
- Basic computer skills
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with heat, noise, and heavy equipment
- Ability to wear required PPE (safety glasses, gloves, steel-toe boots, welding gear, etc.)

- Industrial/manufacturing setting
- Exposure to machinery, welding equipment, and varying temperatures
