Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our team in Weare, NH. This is a full-time, shop-based position responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel-powered trucks and heavy equipment. The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting skills, take pride in quality workmanship, and be committed to keeping equipment operating safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, steering, suspension, and hydraulic systems.
Perform preventative maintenance, including oil changes, inspections, and routine servicing.
Troubleshoot electrical, fuel, air, and cooling systems.
Inspect equipment to identify mechanical issues and recommend necessary repairs.
Replace worn or damaged parts and components.
Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and resolve mechanical problems.
Maintain accurate service and repair records.
Ensure all work is completed in accordance with safety standards and manufacturer specifications.
Keep the shop clean, organized, and safe.

Qualifications

3+ years of diesel mechanic experience preferred.
Experience working on heavy-duty trucks, construction equipment, or similar diesel-powered machinery.
Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and diagnostics.
Ability to read service manuals and technical diagrams.
Valid driver's license required; CDL is a plus.
Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work in a shop environment.
