Job Description
A leading waste and recycling operation is seeking experienced Diesel Mechanics to maintain and repair heavy-duty trucks and related equipment. This position is responsible for diagnosing mechanical issues, performing repairs, and ensuring equipment remains safe and operational.
(1st & 2nd Shift Available)
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair diesel engines, trucks, and equipment
- Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and drivetrain issues
- Complete preventative maintenance and repair work
- Read and interpret repair orders and equipment reports
- Document repairs, parts usage, and maintenance activities
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment
- Communicate with operators and supervisors regarding equipment needs
Qualifications:
- 4+ years of diesel repair and troubleshooting experience
- Experience diagnosing and repairing heavy-duty trucks
- Experience with diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and preventative maintenance
- Ability to read and understand repair documentation
- Valid driver's license
- Experience working on yellow iron equipment is a plus
