Job Duties:

• Perform mechanical repairs on medium and heavy-duty diesel trucks
• Perform all levels of Preventative Maintenance inspections and repairs
• Road test vehicles when necessary to diagnose malfunctions or to ensure they are properly working
• Inspect, test, and listen to defective equipment using testing equipment such as laptop computers, motor analyzers, temperature and pressure gauges
• Identify warranty repairs and document properly on the repair order
• Keep work area clean and safe
• Other duties as assigned

Desired Competencies:

• Knowledge and experience with mechanics or a related field
• Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose and repair medium and heavy-duty vehicles

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license (having a CDL is beneficial but not required)
• 2+ years' experience as a Diesel Truck Technician or similar position (preferred but not required)
• Ability to obtain & maintain Department of Transportation (DOT) Technical Certification
