Schedule: Monday - Friday, 2:00PM - 10:30PM.
Pay range is $35- $40 hourly based on certifications and experience.

BASIC PURPOSE: To provide a safe and reliable fleet by performing preventative maintenance and proper repairs on all fleet equipment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform preventative maintenance within DOT standards.
- Complete all required repairs on diesel equipment (i.e., tractors, trailers, bobtails, lift gates, etc.).
- Take directions from and assist senior technicians with repairs.
- Utilize fleet maintenance system tablet to fully document equipment repair and parts used.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with workplace safety rules/regulations and government guidelines.
- Willingness and capacity to assume increased responsibility and certifications.
- Other duties as assigned by manager.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must have 1 year of verifiable hands-on experience as a heavy-duty commercial diesel mechanic.
- Must furnish own personal hand tools.
- Able to read and write legibly (e.g., to attend trainings, hold conversations, receive safety and job-related coaching, and enter information on reports if needed);
- Basic mathematical skills (add, subtract, divide).
- Must possess a valid driver's license.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Valid Class A CDL license and DOT certification.
- Experience with Maximo fleet maintenance system.
- Previous mechanical and PM program experience.
- Experience using fleet maintenance software.
- Welding ability.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Onsite: The associate in this role is expected to perform assigned responsibilities inside a US Foods maintenance facility.
- Ability to work flexible schedule.
- Must be willing to work in extreme temperatures and weather conditions.

Over 100 lbs (Very Heavy) Occasionally 1. Push/pull Occasionally Item: transmissions, tires & clutches 2. Climb/balance Occasionally Item: ladders & lift gates 3. Stoop/squat Frequently 4. Kneel/bend Occasionally 5. Bend Frequently 6. Reach above shoulder Occasionally 7. Grasp objects Frequently Type: 8. Manipulate objects Frequently type: 9. Twisting Occasionally.
Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law. The expected base rate for this role is between $35 and $40.
