Job Description
Cura of Le Sueur is seeking a dependable and compassionate Dietary Cook to join our team. This position plays an important role in providing quality meals and a positive dining experience for residents in our skilled nursing and long-term care community.
The Dietary Cook is responsible for preparing meals according to menus, dietary guidelines, and resident needs while maintaining a clean, safe, and organized kitchen environment. We are looking for someone who works well with others, takes pride in their work, and values resident-centered care.
Responsibilities include:
- Prepare and cook meals according to planned menus and dietary needs
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and infection control standards
- Assist with meal preparation, serving, portioning, and kitchen cleanup
- Ensure proper storage, rotation, and labeling of food items
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment and work areas
- Work collaboratively with dietary staff, nursing staff, and leadership
- Support a positive dining experience for residents and guests
- Follow facility policies and state regulations

Requirements
Prior cooking or food service experience preferred
Healthcare, nursing home, or senior living experience is a plus
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices preferred
Ability to follow recipes, menus, and dietary instructions
Reliable attendance and positive attitude
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 pounds
ServSafe certification preferred but not required
