Global Service Resources is looking for a contractorin Los Angeles.Job Title: Digital Communications Systems Technician 872Location: Alhambra, CA 91803Shift: 6:30 AM - 4:30 PMAssignment type: Temporary (12 monthsw/ high chance of extension or hire)Pay rate: $30-$35/hourResponsibilities:

• Install, configure, test, maintain, and repair digital, analog, VoIP, and internet-based communication systems.*
• Support PBX, key telephone systems, cloud communications (Microsoft Teams, WebEx, Zoom), voicemail, IVR, and call recording platforms.*
• Install and maintain copper and fiber-optic cabling, patch panels, and network infrastructure.*
• Troubleshoot and repair telecommunications equipment, circuits, and cabling.*
• Configure, move, add, change, and support enterprise VoIP systems.*
• Provide technical support for communication equipment changes and upgrades.*
• Coordinate with vendors and County departments on installations, maintenance, and issue resolution.*
• Assist with technical evaluations of communication equipment and systems.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience with PBX and key telephone system installation, maintenance, and repair.*
• At least 1 year of journey-level telecommunications experience.*
• Knowledge of telecommunications protocols, VoIP, cloud communications, and network equipment.*
• Strong troubleshooting, customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills.*
• High School Diploma or GED required.*
• Valid California Class C Driver’s License and reliable transportation.*
• Ability to lift equipment, climb ladders, and perform physical installation work.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience with NEC PBX systems.*
• Experience with Nortel Norstar (MICS, CallPilot, trunk/station modules, RAD).*
• Experience with Cisco VoIP and Microsoft Teams Voice solutions.
