Digital Marketing Experience Manager

The Digital Marketing Experience Manager is responsible for managing and optimizing PEFCU’s core digital platforms, including the website, email platform, and supporting integrations. This role ensures members have a seamless, consistent, and user-friendly experience across these touchpoints. Working closely with Marketing, IT, Digital Banking, and other business areas, the Digital Marketing Experience Manager oversees day-to-day platform performance, supports digital initiatives, and helps connect systems to enhance the overall member experience. This role combines hands-on execution with cross-functional collaboration to ensure digital platforms are effective, reliable, and aligned with organizational goals.

What you will do…

  • Website
    • Own the functionality, performance, and ongoing optimization of the PEFCU website
    • Manage CMS updates, enhancements, and day-to-day site operations to ensure a seamless, user-friendly experience
    • Monitor and improve website performance, including speed, uptime, accessibility, and mobile responsiveness
    • Implement and optimize user journeys to support key actions such as account opening and loan applications
    • Partner with internal teams to ensure website content is accurate, compliant, and aligned with brand standards
    • Support SEO efforts through on-page optimization, content structure, and technical best practices
    • Maintain website analytics and tracking to support performance monitoring and continuous improvement
  • Marketing Email Platform
    • Own the member facing email platform, including system management, segmentation, list maintenance, and automation setup
    • Build and deploy email campaigns and automated journeys in partnership with marketing and business teams
    • Ensure accurate data flow between email and connected systems to support targeting and personalization
    • Monitor and optimize email performance, including deliverability, engagement, and conversion metrics
    • Maintain email best practices, including compliance, accessibility, and brand consistency
    • Support testing and optimization efforts across email campaigns to improve performance over time
  • Other Digital Platforms & Integrations
    • Collaborate with internal teams (IT, Digital Banking, Product, Marketing, and member-facing teams) to support a connected and consistent member experience across digital platforms
    • Assist in managing and maintaining integrations between website, member facing email, and marketing third-party systems
    • Support implementation of APIs, tracking, and data connections to ensure systems work together effectively
    • Help identify and address gaps or friction points in the digital member experience across platforms
    • Contribute to testing and optimization efforts that improve cross-channel performance and user experience
    • Partner with Information Security and Compliance teams to ensure all digital platforms and integrations meet required standards
  • Digital Platforms & Execution
    • Experience managing websites through a CMS, including updates, optimization, and performance monitoring
    • Hands-on experience with email platforms (e.g., Marketo), including campaign builds, segmentation, and automation
    • Familiarity with integrations, APIs, and connecting systems across digital platforms
    • Working knowledge of web technologies (HTML, CSS, basic JavaScript)
  • User Experience & Optimization
    • Understanding of UX/UI principles and digital user behavior
    • Experience supporting website and email optimization efforts, including basic A/B testing
    • Ability to identify friction points and recommend improvements to enhance user experience
  • Analytics & Performance
    • Familiarity with analytics tools such as GA4, Tag Manager, and email reporting platforms
    • Ability to monitor performance metrics and use insights to inform improvements
    • Basic understanding of SEO principles and how they impact website performance
  • Collaboration & Communication
    • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with Marketing, IT, and business teams
    • Ability to translate business needs into digital updates and enhancements
    • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project coordination skills
  • Compliance & Risk Awareness
    • Understanding of digital compliance, privacy, and accessibility considerations
    • Experience working within regulated environments or partnering with compliance and information security teams

What you will need…

  • 6 years relevant experience
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Proficient in HTML, CSS, JavaScript
  • Responsible for transforming website design into functionality; tests and maintains website layout and other components to enhance the user-experience journey.
  • Ensures the proper integration of web servers and supporting systems.
  • Understands and follows through with business requirements during all phases of development.
  • Makes certain that development procedures provide for optimal navigation, configuration management and user-experience.
  • Continuously maintains the website: tests and troubleshoots issues and problems
  • Communicates with programmers, designers and other specialists on matters of website concept, design and architecture.
  • Collaborates with business leaders and other IT professionals on matters of project life cycles; works to maximize the effectiveness of internet technologies and enables greater access to information in supporting business units and overarching communication strategies.
  • Ensures integration with a multitude of other technologies when implementing internet and web development activities across all applicable applications.
  • In collaborations with graphic designers, UI specialists, web developers and related personnel helps to improve the usability of the website through the implementation of design concepts.
  • Works through and implements all aspects of web design, including but not limited to, balance, contrast, emphasis, consistency and unity.
  • Analyzes requirements for information architecture to create wireframes that illustrate appropriate aesthetics for user experience.
  • Makes certain that web design will integrate into program rules and system architecture.
