Position Overview:

The Digital Marketing Strategist is responsible for the hands-on execution and day-to-day management of marketing programs that support CrossCountry Mortgage's corporate strategic marketing initiatives and retail Loan Officers.

This role manages marketing programs across digital and traditional channels, including paid media, customer data platform (CDP) campaigns, direct mail, and other lead generation, engagement, and retention initiatives. The Digital Marketing Strategist works across internal teams, external partners, marketing platforms, and Loan Officers to execute and expand programs that build awareness, drive engagement, generate qualified mortgage leads, and deepen relationships with existing customers.

This role requires strong ownership, attention to detail, organization, sound judgment, and follow through. The Digital Marketing Strategist is expected to independently manage assigned work from request through completion, proactively track open items and deadlines, identify next steps, and communicate progress, risks, or issues.

Success in this role requires proactive communication, curiosity, strong execution skillset, and the ability to consistently deliver accurate work in a fast-paced environment.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage the setup, launch, ongoing management, and optimization of marketing campaigns across digital channels (Google Ads, Meta, and programmatic), CDP, landing pages, direct mail, and other marketing initiatives. Oversee creative, dates, budgets, targeting, tracking pixels, and other campaign requirements to ensure accurate and complete execution.
  • Lead Loan Officer facing meetings, training, and demonstrations by clearly explaining marketing programs, answering questions, and providing guidance and recommendations.
  • Monitor campaign and program performance, maintain reporting, and use campaign data to identify trends, opportunities, and recommend improvements.
  • Partner with creative, digital, analytics, technology, compliance, finance, and other internal teams to execute marketing initiatives, resolve issues, and support payment, billing, and reconciliation of marketing expenses.
  • Collaborate with external vendors and platform partners while maintaining ownership of follow ups, open items, and issue resolution.
  • Proactively communicate project status, risks, delays, discrepancies, and recommended next steps to appropriate stakeholders. Use sound judgment to identify issues and potential solutions, determine when to take action, seek clarification, or escalate.
  • Collaborate with marketing leadership to identify opportunities to improve processes, expand successful programs, and strengthen overall marketing performance.
  • Manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and open items while proactively driving work forward.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • 3+ years of experience in marketing, digital marketing, campaign management, marketing technology, or a related role.
  • Experience executing and managing multi channel marketing campaigns across setup, launch, ongoing management, optimization, and completion, including channels and technologies such as paid media and marketing automation.
  • Experience analyzing campaign performance and using data, analytics, testing, and audience insights to identify opportunities and recommend improvements. Understanding of audience targeting, A/B testing, conversion measurement, and marketing analytics.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and follow-ups while driving assignments through completion.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy, with the ability to thoroughly review and QA work before delivery or launch.
  • Strong problem solving and sound judgment, with the ability to identify next steps, recommend solutions, recognize when clarification is needed, and appropriately escalate issues.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate direction into execution, ask thoughtful questions, and proactively communicate progress, risks, changes, and outstanding needs.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across creative, digital, analytics, technology, compliance, finance, and external partners while independently managing assigned work.
  • Ability to learn new marketing platforms, processes, programs, and business concepts quickly and apply that knowledge independently.
  • Experience supporting local, multi location, field facing, or sales facing marketing programs preferred.
