Job Description
Work Setup:
- Fully remote; work typical hours in your time zone, but it's not fixed, tentatively this could be EST/PST.
Experience:
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in technical product or web design with strong UX and UI work.
Core Responsibilities:
- Create, evaluate, and refine prototypes that support evolving hardware and software application development.
- Develop and apply UX and usability processes to investigate and solve technical product and interface problems.
- Define and maintain templates, components, and documentation that enable consistent, high-quality communications across products and channels.
- Analyze and improve the usability of applications and systems across tactile, visual, web, multimedia, voice response, and conversational interaction modalities.
- Contribute to design concepts and implementations, including user requirements, information architecture, and internal design specifications.
- Build and document design systems components and patterns in Figma.
- Collaborate closely with a team of designers, marketing communications partners, and product partners.
Required Skills:
- UX design fundamentals with end-to-end UI execution.
- Visual design and systems design proficiency.
- Figma expertise, including component libraries and documentation.
Preferred Attributes:
- Systems thinker with the ability to model patterns and scale design decisions.
- Technically adept and comfortable working with product and engineering partners.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and proactive communicator in written and verbal formats.
- Comfortable asking for help and collaborating across functions.
- Prior experience designing and operationalizing design systems is a strong plus.
Education:
- Degree preferred but not required.
Interview and submission:
- Two interview rounds, including a portfolio walkthrough, case study, or website review.
- A portfolio showing UX, UI, and design systems work is required with your application
