Job Description
- At least one year of training or experience working with people with developmental disabilities.
- The ability to work with a multi-disciplinary team.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with others.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Satisfactorily complete a criminal history check by the Department of Health and Welfare.
- Must be certified in age-appropriate CPR and First Aid.
- Participate in the on-call rotation.
- Train direct service staff initially and ongoing in training areas not required to be performed by the QIDP.
- Complete monthly employee observations and evaluations.
- Participation in participant review for entry into and exit from services.
- Attend all participants, employees, and/or other meetings about the participant as requested.
- Keep prompt and clear communication between Developmental Concepts and primary caregivers or representatives/advocates.
- Integrate program recommendations from other disciplines to optimize participants’ learning opportunities.
- Follow the procedural guidelines of the organization and as needed make recommendations to facilitate the development of procedures, which support the goals of the organization and optimize the participant program.
- Develop and administer baseline probes of client functioning under the scope of the comprehensive assessment consistent with the development of the Individual Support Plan with the provision of relevant data to the QIDP including program recommendations.
- To consistently and conscientiously implement and monitor participant schedules and programs every week.
- To provide in written form program concerns and recommendations to the QIDP to facilitate needed program changes specific to individuals and programming.
- Schedule employee training requirements.
- Participate in Quality Assurance Reviews.
- Ensure all relevant forms are kept stocked and turned in when needed.
- Keep all program books and logs in order.
- Be familiar with the Policy & Procedures of Developmental Concepts Inc.
- Complete all other duties as assigned.
