Job Description

North Star Community Services Provides a pathway to an in-demand career. The Direct Support Professional Apprenticeship Program offers an opportunity for you to learn and earn.

This is your chance to pursue that career in human services while learning, earning a wage, and receiving a certificate of completion at the end of one year.

As an apprentice, you will:

Be trained by mentors who will help you through every step of the process.
Gain experience in all services provided by North Star.
Get paid for completing over 140 hours of related training including self-paced, technology-based, classroom and shadowing.
Finish with a nationally recognized certificate of completion. Receive incremental increases as you go.
Be eligible for a Team Leader position or to serve as a mentor to other apprentices.
