PAY RANGE: $19.50 - $20 per hour (Depending on years of experience)
JOB SUMMARY:

At Gallagher Services, we believe that every person deserves a life filled with meaning, independence, and relationships that matter. We are seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) who values people for who they are and is excited to walk alongside adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities as they engage in the activities they love and pursue their goals.
Work Schedule: Monday- Friday 8:30 - 4:30 PM.
A Day in the Life:
You'll spend your days supporting a group of fun, vibrant individuals who enjoy:
- Playing bingo and sharing laughs
- Watching favorite movies and discussing characters
- Singing along to music or relaxing with a favorite playlist
- Coloring, crafting, and creating art
- Reading books aloud or flipping through pages together
This group is looking for someone who is kind, dependable, a good communicator, and most of all-someone who enjoys spending time with them. If you're someone who takes joy in building real connections and being present in the moment, you'll thrive here.
How You'll Support:
- Support community engagement, whether that's a walk in the park, or attending local events.
- Be a steady presence in important moments-family visits, milestones, or just a shared cup of coffee
- Advocate for each person's rights and help build their confidence and sense of self
- Keep clear, respectful records to ensure continuity of care and support
Minimum Requirements:
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Valid driver's license with at least 2 years of driving experience and no more than 3 points
- Comfortable driving agency vehicles and assisting people who use wheelchairs
- Able to lift up to 75 pounds, stand for long periods, and provide physical assistance when needed
- Completion of Medication Technician Training Program (or willingness to complete)
