Job Description
Job Title: Direct Support Professional (DSP)Location: Hood River, OREmployment Type: Full-Time (multiple positions available) Pay Rate: $21.50–$22.50/hour (based on experience) + $1,000 Hiring Bonus!Community Access Services is currently seeking multiple Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) in Hood River, OR to support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We have several full-time positions available across a variety of schedules, including day and overnight shifts. No experience required – paid training provided!Full-time positions in Hood River are eligible for a $1,000 hiring bonus.What You’ll Do as a Direct Support Professional:
- Develop meaningful, person-centered relationships that support independence, dignity, and personal choice.
- Assist with daily living activities such as meal prep, personal care, and household routines.
- Support individuals in community participation, recreation, appointments, and working toward personal goals.
- Encourage skill development, confidence, and social connections.
- Follow individualized support plans (full training provided).
- Administer medications safely and keep accurate records.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment.
- Serve as a positive role model and advocate for the needs and preferences of those you support.
- Experience as a DSP, caregiver, or human services professional is a plus, but not required — training is provided
- At least 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED
- Valid driver’s license and ability to become an approved company driver
- Ability to pass a national background check
- Compassionate communicator with patience, problem-solving skills, and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs and assist individuals with mobility needs
- Dependable, respectful, and committed to person-centered support
- Competitive Pay: $21.50–$22.50/hour (based on experience)
