What is a Direct Support Professional?

A Direct Support Professional is a person that provides supports and advocates for individual with a disability. At COR Enterprises, we focus on creating a safe environment centered around fun, recreational activities and socialization. Shift:

Monday through Friday, Daytime Hours

General job duties include but not limited to:

Ensure all clients are treated with respect, patience, and dignity.

Following and respecting the rights of clients.

Engaging and motiving clients in joining daily activities.

Transporting clients to and from our facility as well as going on community outings

Participating in personal centered support plans, protocols, as well as, communicating with family members, support teams and case managers.

Participating in trainings related to CPR and 1^st aide, College of Direct Supports and more valuable training as it relates to our clients.

Qualifications:

Patience, active listening and empathy

A positive vocal advocate with professional communication skills

Must be over the age of 18

High school diploma, HiSet/GED or suitable equivalence

Acceptable background

Valid driver's license, proof of insurance and acceptable driving record

Computer proficiency preferred.
