Keene, NH and surrounding times, 20 hours per week

Monadnock Developmental Services is seeking a qualified applicant for a Part Time DSP position in the Keene area, afternoon hours and weekend hours.

Direct Support Professional Responsibilities:

Support individuals in their communities to lead fully included lives
Support the strengths, gifts and potential of individuals with disabilities
Aid in the removal of barriers preventing a person with a disability to reach their goals

Direct Support Professional Requirements:

support individuals out in the community
guidance with healthy meal choices
assist with meal preparation
assist and guidance with household chores
transportation of individual for errands, appointments and community participant programs
continued support and development of individual's monthly goals
maintain accurate records of daily activities, behaviors and progress
manage and redirect challenging behaviors by using position behavior support
Training will be provided in all applicable areas for each program

Direct Support Professional minimum qualifications include:

a sound ethical foundation, dedication, creativity, commitment to building a relationship, sense of humor and ability to work in a team environment.

Schedule is flexible, including weekday and/or weekend hours.

Pre-employment Background Check Requirements: Criminal records, motor vehicle record, Bureau of Adult and Aging Services (BAAS), Division of Child, Youth and Families (DCYF), Office of Inspector General (OIG)
