Job Description
Help clients develop and strengthen interpersonal and coping skills while guiding them in creating positive relationships with family and peers. In this role, you will serve as an invaluable role model to adults with disabilities. Typical shifts will differ depending upon position/location. This position will cover the Gorham area.
The Direct Support Professional - Float (Special Assignment Worker) pays $19.00 per hour.
This position requires a flexibility in scheduling that will change based on the needs of the program. In this position you will cover various program locations and is dependent on the need to fill critical shortages within that location. You must be willing to travel to different program locations and be comfortable working with a variety of clients and staff. Flexing your schedule as the program needs change is required.
DUTIES:
Provide support to adults with intellectual disabilities in agency homes, including medication administration, assisting with activities of daily living and personal care, community integration, and providing positive behavioral supports.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must complete CDS curriculum within the first six months of employment and obtain CRMA certification within 90 days of employment. High school diploma or equivalent required. Experience as a DSP is preferred, but not required. All applicants must maintain a current driver's license and a clean driving record as outlined in Spurwink's Driving policy.
