Job Description

Join us as we transform immunology and deliver medicines that help autoimmune patients get their lives back. argenx is preparing for multi-dimensional expansion to reach more patients through a rich pipeline of differentiated assets, led by VYVGART, our first-in-class neonatal Fc receptor blocker approved for the treatment of gMG, and with the potential to treat patients across dozens of severe autoimmune diseases.

We are building a new kind of biotech company, one that maintains its roots as a science-based start-up and pushes our commitment to innovate across all corners of our business. We strive to inspire and grow our company, our partnerships, our science, and our people, because when we do, we deliver more for patients.

As argenx continues to expand into new indications, reach more patients, and evolve our Global Commercialization Community, we are seeking a Director, Employee Communications & Engagement to help enable our growth. This is not a traditional communications role. We are looking for a strategic thinker, connector, and change leader who can translate business strategy, culture, ways of working, and organizational priorities into meaningful employee experiences that drive engagement, alignment, and performance.

This person must live in the Boston area and in the office 2-3 days/week or as needed.

Your Role

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to Global Commercialization leaders, translating business priorities, growth strategies, and organizational change into compelling employee experiences and communications.

  • Lead communication and engagement strategies that support commercial launches, expansions, organizational growth, and business transformation initiatives.

  • Partner across Commercialization, Corporate Affairs, Product Communications, R&D Communications, HR, and Digital Technology.

  • Strengthen understanding of our culture and unique way of working known as the argenx Way, helping preserve our entrepreneurial culture while enabling the organization to scale.

  • Advance innovative approaches for communications and engagement, leveraging AI, digital tools, data, and emerging technologies to improve employee experience and effectiveness.

  • Help leaders and teams navigate growth, ambiguity, and continuous change.

  • Lead communications and engagement strategies that support key Boston Innovation Hub priorities, events, and experiences that strengthen culture and bring the argenx Way to life. Partner with local leaders and stakeholders to foster connection, engagement, community, and a vibrant employee experience.

  • International and Domestic travel will be required for this role. Travel to be expected about 1-2 trips/quarter or based on business needs.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in communications, employee engagement, change management, employee experience, organizational effectiveness, or related disciplines.

  • Experience supporting high-growth organizations, commercial launches, business expansion, and organizational transformation.

  • Proven ability to translate business strategy, scientific innovation, culture, and organizational priorities into clear and compelling narratives.

  • Experience partnering with senior leaders and serving as a trusted advisor during growth and change.

  • Experience engaging distributed, field-based, and global employee populations.

  • Demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships, connect and influence across teams.

  • Passion for the future of work, organizational effectiveness, team-based organizations, and technology-enabled employee experiences.

  • Curiosity and experience leveraging AI, digital tools, and emerging technologies to enhance communications, collaboration, and employee engagement.

  • Exceptional communication, facilitation, and storytelling skills.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment with a strong bias for action, learning, and continuous improvement.
