This role sits at the intersection of brand storytelling, earned media, influencer advocacy, and cultural intelligence. You will translate brand and product narratives into compelling stories that resonate with professional communities (stylists, barbers, educators) and consumers alike — driving awareness, credibility, and long-term brand love. You are a strategic storyteller and relationship-builder who understands that PR and influencers are not transactional channels, but powerful brand-building engines when rooted in authenticity, craft, and relevance. You will lead internal teams and external agency partners to deliver consistent, measurable impact across earned and advocacy-driven touchpoints.Responsibilities:Strategic Communications & Brand Reputation
- Define and lead a forward-thinking, 360° communications and advocacy vision that builds awareness, credibility, and cultural relevance across all brands.
- Translate brand strategy, product innovation, and professional expertise into clear, differentiated narratives for press, influencers, and industry stakeholders.
- Establish tone of voice and messaging frameworks by brand and platform, ensuring consistency while allowing for channel-specific nuance.
- Own annual, seasonal, and launch-based PR and influencer roadmaps aligned to broader marketing and business priorities.
- Proactively manage brand reputation, ensuring our brands show up with authority, clarity, and purpose across earned channels.
- Lead all aspects of PR strategy and execution, including media relations, press releases, press kits, and events.
- Drive consistent, high-quality editorial coverage across consumer, professional, beauty, grooming, and lifestyle media.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with editors, writers, reporters, and industry voices — positioning Beautynova brands as trusted experts, not just product brands.
- Oversee PR strategies for product launches, campaigns, seasonal moments, and “always-on” storytelling.
- Partner with Sales, Education, and Brand teams to surface compelling differentiation, professional insights, and innovation stories for pitches.
- Develop and lead best-in-class influencer and advocacy strategies across professional and consumer ecosystems.
- Build a tiered influencer model spanning professional artists, educators, celebrity stylists, creators, and consumer advocates, across organic and paid relationships.
- Ensure influencer strategies balance authentic advocacy, educational value, cultural relevance, and performance outcomes.
- Oversee influencer campaigns end-to-end — from strategy and casting through briefing, execution, content delivery, and amplification.
- Identify and nurture long-term talent partnerships that deepen brand credibility and cultural impact beyond one-off campaigns.
- Serve as a strategic partner to Brand Marketing, Social & Content, Education, Sales, and Performance Marketing teams to ensure PR and influencer efforts are integrated, not siloed.
- Collaborate closely with content and social teams to ensure earned and influencer stories are amplified cohesively across owned channels.
- Lead and manage external PR agencies, influencer platforms, and talent partners — setting clear expectations, KPIs, and success metrics.
- Regularly evaluate agency performance, providing clear feedback and strategic direction to optimize output and ROI.
- Define and own clear KPIs across PR and influencer programs, balancing awareness, engagement, share of voice, advocacy quality, and business impact.
- Analyze campaign performance and media results, translating data into actionable insights and recommendations.
- Provide regular reporting to leadership, clearly articulating wins, learnings, and opportunities for optimization.
- Use data to continuously refine influencer mix, storytelling approaches, and investment strategy.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing communications and influencer team.
- Foster a culture of strategic thinking, creativity, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Manage seasonal and monthly budgets, contracts, negotiations, and talent payments with rigor and transparency.
- Ensure timelines, deliverables, and cross-functional communication are tightly managed across all PR and influencer initiatives.
- Any other assignments, projects, duties or tasks as assigned by management.
- Minimum 7+ years of professional experience in communications, public relations, marketing, or a related field with a focus on beauty or hair care brands
- Minimum of 3+ years of management experience
- Proven track record of running successful influencer campaigns & partnership and fostering communities
- Highly creative with the ability to develop new ideas that resonate with audience
