The Columbus Regional Airport Authority manages and operates passenger-focused John Glenn Columbus International Airport (CMH), cargo-focused Rickenbacker International Airport (LCK), and general aviation airport Bolton Field (TZR).

Your "Take Off" will be successful by doing the following with excellence:

  • Develops strategic infrastructure, asset renewal, and maintenance plans aligned with organizational priorities, operational requirements, and available resources.
  • Provides leadership and oversight for terminal facilities maintenance, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection systems, conveyances, CCTV, building automation systems, access control systems, and baggage handling systems.
  • Directs Airfield Maintenance operations, including maintenance of runways, taxiways, aprons, perimeter roads, drainage systems, pavement markings, airfield signage, airfield lighting systems, and associated infrastructure.
  • Provides strategic oversight of Airfield Fleet Operations, including lifecycle management, procurement planning, maintenance, replacement scheduling, utilization, and reliability of specialized airport vehicles and equipment.
  • Develops and manages operating and capital budgets, monitors financial performance, and ensures achievement of budgetary and operational performance targets.
  • Promotes a customer-focused culture throughout operations and support services utilizing passenger satisfaction metrics, and partnering with airport stakeholders (airlines, concessions, service providers) to continuously improve accessibility, wayfinding and the overall passenger experience.
  • Leads, coaches, and develops managers, supervisors, and frontline employees, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Your "Landing" will be smooth if you meet the following requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Aviation Management, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field and minimum nine (9) years of progressively responsible management experience in an airport asset and/or facility management environment, or equivalent education and years of experience
  • Demonstrated success leading high-performing teams
  • Strong strategic thinking, planning and analysis skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively and foster collaborative relationships
  • Experience in a union environment strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of FAA Part 139 certification requirements, airport infrastructure and airfield maintenance practices, fleet maintenance and equipment lifecycle planning, building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, conveyances, access control systems), and baggage handling system operations and maintenance
  • Accredited Airport Executive (A.A.E.) certification strongly preferred
