Proudly owned by our clients and employees, Cresset was built to endure. We are creating a 100+ year firm-one focused on delivering an exceptional experience, not only for the families we serve but for the team that serves them. Recognized by Barron's and Forbes among the nation's top RIA firms, and as one of the industry's best places to work,* Cresset is guided by long-term relationships, shared success, and a belief that wealth should serve a life well lived.

Position Overview

Reporting directly to the Chief Investment Officer (CIO) and based in our Cresset Dallas office, the Director, Investment Strategy & Execution serves as a strategic and operational partner responsible for driving disciplined execution across the Investment organization. This role focuses on coordination, synthesis, governance support, and ensuring follow-through on the firm's highest investment priorities.

The Director enhances the effectiveness of the CIO and Investment leadership team by attending key internal and external meetings, synthesizing complex discussions into structured insights, clarifying decisions and action items, and ensuring timely accountability. The role supports alignment across all investment verticals, including public and private markets, research, due diligence, portfolio management, and investment operations.

This position requires exceptional organizational and project management skills, strong analytical rigor, executive-level communication and presentation capabilities, sound investment and business judgment, and the ability to influence across teams without formal authority.

Key Responsibilities

  • Attend internal and external meetings, including Investment Committee, research reviews, manager meetings, executive leadership discussions, and strategic planning sessions.
  • Capture and synthesize discussions into structured summaries that clearly delineate decisions, risks, open questions, and required follow-up.
  • Prepare concise post-meeting materials outlining key takeaways, implications, and action items.
  • Track ownership and deadlines for follow-up items, proactively driving accountability across stakeholders.
  • Coordinate development of pre-read materials and ensure meetings are decision-ready.
  • Manage logistics, materials preparation, and documentation for Investment Committee and related governance forums.
  • Partner with research, portfolio management, risk, and operations teams to ensure materials are accurate, complete, and aligned with investment objectives.
  • Maintain formal records of committee decisions and monitor implementation against approved mandates.
  • Support ongoing refinement of investment governance processes and operating cadence.
  • Translate investment priorities into actionable plans with defined timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Monitor progress on key initiatives and provide structured status updates to senior leadership.
  • Lead discrete cross-functional initiatives at the direction of the CIO.
  • Identify operational bottlenecks and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and execution discipline.
  • Develop dashboards and reporting to track investment performance, capital flows, pipeline activity, and operational metrics.
  • Conduct financial and strategic analysis to support investment strategy discussions and business planning.
  • Assist with budget tracking and financial oversight for the Investment organization.
  • Serve as a central coordination point between Investments and Wealth Advisory, Operations, Legal, Compliance, Finance, and Marketing.
  • Support product launches, platform enhancements, and other cross-functional initiatives.
  • Draft board materials, executive presentations, and internal communications on behalf of the CIO, ensuring messaging is clear, data-driven, and aligned with firm strategy.
  • Represent the CIO in select internal forums, as appropriate.
