We are seeking a visionary Director, Software Product Management to lead the strategy, development, and execution AI products and capabilities in the clinical space. AI‑enabled software products in highly regulated environments.

This role is pivotal in shaping how advanced digital capabilities are responsibly designed, scaled, and adopted to support critical business outcomes-balancing innovation with quality, compliance, and trust. As a senior product leader, you will define and own the strategies and roadmaps for a complex ecosystem supporting our clinical and regulatory space, designed to meet business needs while delivering innovative technology solutions that advance Lilly's mission to create medicines that make life better.

What You Will Do:

Product Strategy and Roadmap

Define and lead the execution of a large‑scale, interconnected product ecosystem that supports mission‑critical workflows in regulated contexts. Define a future‑state ecosystem aligned to enterprise strategy, prioritizing investments that balance business impact, technical feasibility, and risk.

Team First Mentality

Embody a no-ego, team-first mindset in all interactions. Foster a collaborative culture that prioritizes shared success over individual recognition. Represent the product team with humility and integrity when engaging with stakeholders and partners.

Business Partnership Champion

Act as a strategic product partner to senior business and functional leaders-translating complex goals, constraints, and requirements into a clear product vision. Ensure solutions are grounded in user needs while meeting expectations for quality, reliability, and governance.

Technical Collaboration and Standards

Partner with engineering leadership to assess architectural trade‑offs and establish technical standards for AI‑enabled systems operating under strict quality and compliance expectations. Ensure solutions are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with enterprise technology strategy.

Stakeholder Engagement and Thought Leadership

Build and maintain strong relationships across the organization and with external partners. Represent the product organization with credibility and integrity, contributing to broader conversations around digital innovation, responsible technology adoption, and industry best practices.

Operational Excellence and Resource Planning

Lead portfolio‑level prioritization and resource planning across interconnected products, accounting for technical complexity, dependencies, and organizational constraints. Drive continuous improvement to enhance reliability, efficiency, and user experience at scale.

Your Minimum Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's in Science, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
  • Proven track record of delivering transformational AI products in a start-up and/or enterprise environment
  • 8+ years of product management experience, including 5+ years in senior leadership roles and 3+ years in Pharma, Biotech, Med-tech, Life Science industries.
  • Deep understanding of complex ecosystem products, with a proven ability to partner and guide teams to deliver reliable, consistent and compliant systems
  • Deep technical expertise with ability to evaluate complex architectures and guide decision-making

What You Should Bring:

  • Resilience and persistence in navigating ambiguity, overcoming obstacles, and driving progress in complex, fast-paced environments
  • Exceptional leadership and strategic thinking skills with strong business acumen
  • Excellent communication and influence skills, including engagement with C-level executives
  • Demonstrated experience building or managing Agentic AI platforms
  • Industry recognition as a thought leader in product management
  • Experience with modular platform design and shared component libraries
  • Advanced degree (MBA, MS, or equivalent) preferred
  • A focus on experience in regulated industries such as healthcare or pharmaceuticals a plus

Actual compensation will depend on a candidate's education, experience, skills, and geographic location. The anticipated wage for this position is

$177,000 - $292,600

Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual performance).
