Position Brand Description:
The Sr. Project Management Professional is responsible for working with DRY EM and cross functional leadership to define strategic projects execution considering technical and operational initiatives from M&Q's, including commercialization of NME's into external manufacturing environment. The Project Manager is expected to have Commercial Product Knowledge including site manufacturing experience, Leadership and Business Acumen, and Project Management skills. The Project Manager will lead execution of DRY EM strategic agenda that delivers value for both the Business Unit and the M&Q organizations. The Project Manager must have strong relationship and communication skills and an ability to influence team members and leadership at manufacturing sites (internal/ external) , within core M&Q functions, and with the relevant Business Unit. A person in this position has Technical / Manufacturing background in solid dosage manufacture and is expected to apply project management principles as guided by PMBOK, including robust risk management for cross functional teams. They will also lead / participate in process improvement activities within DRY -External Manufacturing and network project management
Key Objectives/Deliverables
Leadership of DRY-EM integrated project management.
With DRY EM Leadership, define and lead the execution of integrated M&Q agenda including technical and process improvements aligned with operational priorities. Facilitates DRY EM projects reviews to ensure projects are progressing according to timelines and project risk are proactively identified and mitigation actions are in place, actively engaged with network project management network to ensure alignment on strategic milestones.
Project Management expertise:
Applies knowledge of project management tools and processes. Drives team decision making process to resolve project issues. Develop a risk management strategy for DRY EM projects and ensure contingency plans are developed. Oversights change control process for the DRY EM network. Evaluates new requests for manufacturing or product changes for the DRY-EM network and coordinates appropriate timing for execution considering organization capacity and supply needs.
Support global teams in developing strategies and implementing operational plans linked to DRY -External Manufacturing network to deliver spray dry dispersion, drug product formulations, registration stability lots, clinical trials materials, and other materials required to support/implement a particular project.
Manage external partnerships as needed for implementation of the technical/ digital agenda.
Basic Requirements:
- BS or MS in chemistry, pharmacy, engineering or equivalent scientific degree
- 7-10 years of experience in more than one site manufacturing function including projects management and continues improvement areas.
- Demonstrated successful leadership of cross-functional teams
- Demonstrated project management capability.
- Knowledge of the commercialization aspects of drug development and manufacturing.
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
- Strong self-management and organizational skills.
- Oral and written communication skills that demonstrate an ability to effectively (clearly, succinctly) communicate with all levels of the organization.
Additional Preferences:
- Experience in Operations, TS/MS, QA or QC, Regulatory, or Supply Chain within pharmaceutical manufacturing in solid dosage technology
- Green Belt or Black Belt experience
- Technical transfer experience
- Masters in Project Management, PMP certification, PE or MBA.
Education Requirements:
- BS or MS in chemistry, pharmacy, engineering or equivalent scientific degree
Other Information: Travel 20-30% (domestic and international) may be required.

Actual compensation will depend on a candidate's education, experience, skills, and geographic location. The anticipated wage for this position is
$130,350 - $191,180
Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual performance).
