Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY
Partner with EPR Leadership to invest in experiential real estate, through the process of building relationships, sourcing, evaluating, negotiating, and closing new transactions.
PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Relationship Building
- Create, build, and maintain relationships with existing, new, or potential partners, developers, sellers, and brokers in target industries
- Be lead contact for partners and sellers on specific opportunities or transactions
- Support identification of, and expansion into, new experiential asset classes
Transaction Sourcing & Strategy
- Establish and evolve industry specific investment strategy
- Generate outside leads in accordance with in-place strategy
- Build and leverage network to gain access to new transactions
- Filter transactions to focus on transactions which fit within EPR's investment mandate
- Maintain active pipeline
Transaction Evaluation & Approval
Collaborate with analyst support, legal team, VP Investments, and CIO to:
- Summarize and present investment opportunities for internal decision making including to EPR Investment Committee and Board of Directors
- Negotiate letters of intent and term sheets with counterparties
- Oversee diligence, closing, and underwriting efforts
Transaction Closing
- Support negotiation of legal documentation in collaboration with internal and external counsel
- Support transaction closing in collaboration with legal team
- Support issue resolution with counterparties as they arise
Internal Communication
- Communicate deal pipeline and closing internally
- Ensure new deal terms conform with Management's expectations

POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent) or Post Graduate Degree in finance, accounting, management, business, law or related field preferable
- 5-7 years of demonstrated experience in commercial real estate, finance, investment, corporate strategy, or M&A
- Strong oral and written communication skills required
- Strong financial analysis skills
- Background in working on transactions preferred
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally
- Required travel 35-60 days per year on average
