About the Role:

The Director, Project Management is a leadership position that oversees a business unit consisting of multiple new/existing agency accounts. You are a seasoned project management professional, comfortable working with a steady brand in maintenance mode as you will be overseeing a brand preparing for a complex launch. You will provide a point of escalation across multiple project teams, ensuring delivery and operational excellence while supporting agency and department growth initiatives. This is a remote role reporting to the VP of Project Management. 

You will:

Team/Agency Support

  • Manage and direct PM team in management of complex, multi-team, multi-vendor, and multi-project programs including the development of detailed scopes, estimates and project plans
  • Partner with Senior cross-functional leads on account-level initiatives to drive the business forward
  • Proactively identify optimizations and opportunities to adjust process (both internally and externally)
  • Develop key operational tools, participating in (often leading) department initiatives to improve and streamline internal process, workflows, and trainings
  • Participate in brand planning efforts, able to visualize and speak to execution at high-level
  • Participate in Business Development efforts and present workflow, process, and pricing in pitches as necessary

Financial Management

  • Provide oversight to all financial reporting efforts: weekly burn reviews, monthly internal and client reconciliation, monthly accruals and forecasting, and play a key role in estimate and scope development/reviews
  • Identify opportunities to streamline or optimize agency pricing, work with PM leadership and operations to identify vendors that can contribute to better pricing or profits

Resource Management

  • Understand the appropriate staffing for an account, both in quantity and talent-to-task and can recommend staffing changes within department to address individual account needs
  • Ensure all scoped work can be completed, participating in regular resourcing meetings
  • Identify new or upcoming workstreams that will require a different model or additional resource support

Managerial

  • Responsible for the oversight, growth, and development of Senior PMs, Team Leads, and Associate Directors - structure will vary by account
  • Participate in recruiting efforts, interviewing new PM resources and potential cross-functional team members
  • Provide onboarding and training of new PM team members

You will have:

  • 10+ years project management experience, 8+ years of agency experience
  • Pharmaceutical marketing agency experience required, AOR experience preferred
  • Bachelor's degree (BA); PMP a plus
  • Experience managing large cross-functional teams including but not limited to account services, creative, strategy, production, media, analytics, omnichannel and tech
  • Experience working with multiple vendors and agency partners
  • Experience onboarding, training and managing multiple team members
  • Advanced experience with financial management 
  • Advanced experience developing scopes, staffing, and project plans 
  • Advanced experience using Project Management software

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the salary range for this position. This range may differ based on your experience and skill set, geographic location, and cost of living considerations. Compensation

$140,000—$165,000 USD
