Director, Audit & Accounting - Public Accounting (Hybrid)

Location: Montgomery County, Maryland - hybrid, 2-3 days a week in the office

Compensation: $200,000 - $250,000 base salary, depending on experience, plus annual bonus potential

About the Opportunity

A well-respected, growing CPA firm in Montgomery County, Maryland is looking for a Director to help lead its audit and accounting practice. You'll oversee engagements, mentor a growing team, and be a trusted advisor to clients in construction, government contracting, and other for-profit industries. The firm is known for a great culture where people genuinely enjoy coming into the office, and it treats its team to two all-expenses-paid company trips every year.

What You'll Do

Lead and review audit, review, and accounting engagements from planning through delivery
Serve as a primary client contact and build long-term client relationships
Mentor, develop, and review the work of managers, seniors, and associates
Work with firm leadership on practice growth and business development

What You Bring

Active CPA license
Significant public accounting audit and accounting experience, including engagement leadership
Industry experience in construction, government contracting, or for-profit entities
Strong leadership, client service, and communication skills
Experience with CCH Axcess is a plus

What's Offered

$200,000 - $250,000 base salary, depending on experience
Annual performance bonus potential
