This role is responsible for evaluating the end-to-end finance operating model and designing scalable, efficient, and controlled processes that support Lennar's growth and financial performance.

The Director, Finance Process Excellence will partner across accounting, FP&A, treasury, shared services, and operational business leaders to assess the current operating environment, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement sustainable solutions. This role will build, re-engineer, and modernize finance processes across functional dependencies, ensuring strong internal controls, data integrity, reporting accuracy, and operational efficiency.

Your Responsibilities on the Team

  • Establish and oversee key performance indicators for core finance processes; identify trends, root causes, and forecasts to ensure alignment with financial and operational objectives.

  • Lead enterprise-wide reviews of finance workflows to identify inefficiencies, risks, and improvement opportunities across accounting, reporting, forecasting, and transactional operations.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives through process redesign, standardization, and automation to enhance accuracy, cycle times, and cost efficiency.

  • Partner with senior finance and business leaders to define success metrics, prioritize initiatives, and align on transformation roadmaps.

  • Facilitate working sessions and workshops to evaluate current-state processes and design future-state operating models.

  • Translate business needs into structured requirements, implementation plans, and measurable outcomes using data-driven methodologies.

  • Lead cross-functional initiatives using disciplined project management practices to ensure delivery against defined financial and operational goals.

  • Ensure finance processes align with internal controls, compliance requirements, and audit standards.

  • Develop executive-ready communications and reporting that provide transparency into initiative progress, risks, and outcomes.

  • Perform periodic quality, compliance, and effectiveness reviews to ensure processes operate as designed and continuously improve.

  • Research and prepare updates on finance trends, transformation opportunities, and program progress for executive leadership.

  • Build and reinforce a culture of continuous improvement within the finance organization; mentor and guide partners and stakeholders.

  • Additional duties as assigned.

Your Toolbox

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Industrial Engineering, or related field required.

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in finance, accounting operations, finance transformation, or process excellence.

  • Demonstrated leadership experience driving enterprise-level finance process improvement or transformation initiatives.

  • Lean Six Sigma certification required; Black Belt strongly preferred.

  • Deep understanding of finance operations, including accounting, reporting, forecasting, internal controls, and shared services environments.

  • Experience with ERP and financial systems (e.g., Hyperion and/or JDE) and workflow automation tools.

  • Proven track record of leading end-to-end process improvement initiatives and delivering measurable outcomes.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex data, identify root causes, and quantify impact.

  • Demonstrated ability to influence and partner with executive stakeholders across functions.

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Experience with process mapping and visualization tools (Visio, Lucid, Miro) preferred.

  • Strong executive communication and presentation skills.

  • Results-oriented with strong ownership and follow-through.

  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, evolving environment and lead through ambiguity.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
